What access includes

The API exposes an explicit allowlist of published collections. The current reference covers 97 available datasets, including relationship tables and aggregates. GET /datasets is the authoritative runtime catalog. Research drafts, credentials, sessions and operational records stay private. A database table’s existence does not make it available through the API.

REST, SDKs, CLI and MCP use the same data and account limits. Paid billing is disabled; recorded requests are usage counts, not charges. Published records are read-only. Proposed corrections enter a human review queue.

Read the data correctly

Money in numeric scalar fields is returned as exact decimal strings. Preserve negative and zero obligations. Requested funding, enacted funding, announced ceilings and obligations describe different things: a ceiling is potential value, not spending.

Keep returned identifiers, source references and build_id with your results. A stable identifier does not make a record immutable. See data quality before combining collections or presenting totals.
