SDKs and CLI

Use REST directly, the JavaScript/TypeScript SDK, the Python SDK, the CLI or the data MCP. Every interface reads the same published datasets and shares account request limits. Organizations, agencies and programs use the generic collection methods in all clients.

Install version 0.1.1

# CLI (Node.js 22+)
npm install --global https://app.defdex.io/downloads/v0.1.1/defdex-cli-0.1.1.tgz
# JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js 22+)
npm install https://app.defdex.io/downloads/v0.1.1/defdex-sdk-0.1.1.tgz
# Python 3.10+
pip install https://app.defdex.io/downloads/v0.1.1/defdex-0.1.1.zip

These are direct public downloads. They do not require repository access and are not npm/PyPI registry publication claims. Use the manifest and SHA-256 checksums to verify downloads. Versioned archives and their bundled contracts are immutable; the live reference documents current service behavior. Older 0.1.0 downloads remain available; Python users should use 0.1.1 for the production request-identifier fix.

Set DEFDEX_API_KEY privately. The SDKs accept an explicit key in their constructor for secret-manager integration; the CLI intentionally does not accept a key argument. All clients default to https://app.defdex.io/api/v1, require HTTPS for remote base-URL overrides, and do not follow redirects or automatically retry.

The SDKs support catalog, generic list/detail, award convenience list/detail, usage, and correction submit/list/detail operations. There is no special agencies() method; use the documented collection/filter pattern.
